About Lisa Stevens
Hello! My name is Lisa and I am a hair artist at Indie Salon in the Historic District of Folsom, CA specializing in intuitive haircuts that are long lasting, sun kissed color, grey coverage and textured cuts. The most important thing you should know about me is I love making people look their best self! It has been my dream to help people create wellness while harmonizing spirit with their physical looks.
My hair journey began in the Bay Area when I decided to leave the corporate business world and follow my passion in 2010. After graduating, I immediately landed my dream apprenticeship job at Peter Thomas Hair in Berkeley, CA, known as a breeding ground for hairstylists wishing to perform at their highest level. I was trained for 3 years in their well known apprenticeship program for cut and color which provided me a foundation in precision cutting, texture and creative color. I then was invited to be a stylist at Hermosa Salon in Berkeley, CA which was named Best Salon on the Bay Area A-List 2015. I have been trained in San Francisco and L.A.
In 2015, my husband, little girl and I decided to take a leap of faith and relocate to Folsom, CA where I now reside at Indie Salon on Sutter Street in Historic Folsom. I am originally from L.A. and moved to Oakland in 2007. I am a Cali girl through and through. I received my Bachelors at Cal State Fullerton, University in Business and am a true entrepreneur. I am inspired by my daughter, husband, family, cooking, restaurants, interior design, indie music, live music, festivals, fashion, books, nature, diversity, family, texture, beachy waves, messy life and walking down the street and people watching.
